Connecting ActiveCampaign is a paid (monthly) add-on. The price will be shown on your Connect Apps page.
What are the benefits of connecting ActiveCampaign?
ActiveCampaign is a platform that offers email marketing, marketing automation, sales automation, and CRM tools to help you connect with your audience for seamless event marketing. By connecting your Ticket Tailor box office to ActiveCampaign you can ensure all your ticket buyers are automatically added to your mailing list.
How to connect to ActiveCampaign
Visit ‘Box office settings’ and choose ‘Connect apps’ in the left-hand menu.
Look for the 'Integrate with ActiveCampaign' option, and choose ‘Configure’.
Select 'Activate' to add ActiveCampaign to your monthly billing.
Choose ‘Configure’ and then ‘Create new workflow` to begin setting up the integration.
You’ll be taken to a new page with a list of available workflows.
The first time you create any workflow, you’ll need to authenticate the integration by providing details from your ActiveCampaign account.
This integration requires an API key and your account URL, instead of your ActiveCampaign username and password.
These values are unique to your ActiveCampaign account, and will allow Ticket Tailor to securely share data.
You can find both of these by logging into your ActiveCampaign account, and choosing ‘Settings’ then ‘Developer'.
Once in the developer page, under the heading called API access, copy the values next to 'URL' and 'Key' into your Ticket Tailor account.
💡 Note: if you include the http://
or https://
part of the URL, the integration will not work.
Complete the setup by clicking the ‘Create’ button.
Now you’re ready to start synchronising data about your Ticket Tailor buyers into ActiveCampaign!
What information is sent to ActiveCampaign?
Only buyer details are synchronised, not attendee details.
Depending on the information you collect from buyers during Checkout, the corresponding contact in ActiveCampaign is able to synchronise:
Email address (required).
First and last name.
Phone number.
Contact synchronisation is based on matching email addresses, so if a buyer makes multiple orders with different email addresses, they will end up as different contacts in ActiveCampaign.
If there’s an existing contact with the same email address, it will be updated with any new buyer information.
ActiveCampaign require your lists to be opt-in, so buyer contacts are only added to a mailing list if they chose to opt into joining your mailing list. Here’s how to set this up in Ticket Tailor.
Lists are only available on certain ActiveCampaign plans and subscriptions, and may not be visible to all users by default. Learn more here.
