Can Ticket Tailor handle large on-sales?

Yes! Our ticket queue helps to keep your event live under high demand.

Written by Rhio

Got a big on-sale coming up? You're in good hands. Ticket Tailor has a built-in checkout queue that switches on automatically when lots of people try to buy at once, and there's no setup needed on your end.

What will my ticket buyers see?

Screenshot showing what the queue looks like to ticket buyers. It says 'You're in the queue. This event is in high demand. You've secured your place in the queue and we'll take you through when it's your turn. Keep this page open, don't refresh or you may lose your place. The queue is moving, your position updates automatically'. In this example, the queue position is 200.
  • If the queue is active, your ticket buyers will see a page showing their position in line.

  • Their position updates automatically, so there's no need for them to keep refreshing.

  • When it's their turn, they go straight through to checkout.

FAQs

Is the queue fair?

Yes! Buyers are served in the order they arrive, so everyone gets a fair shot regardless of their internet speed. Queue positions are also protected, so no one can jump ahead by refreshing.

Will a busy on-sale affect my other events?

Not at all. The queue works per event, so a spike in demand for one on-sale won't affect anything else in your box office.

💡 Things to note

  • If you're expecting a high demand for your tickets, let us know via hi@tickettailor.com.

  • The queue only applies to the start of checkout. Your event listing and box office pages are unaffected by high traffic.
