How fees are displayed for events in USD

The total cost of a ticket (including booking fees) is displayed upfront, based on the FTC Junk Fees Rule.

Based on the FTC Rule on Unfair or Deceptive Fees (aka the “Junk Fees Rule”) which came in to effect on the 12th May, 2025, the total cost your buyer pays (including booking fees) is displayed upfront for events selling tickets in USD.

If you are selling tickets in the USA, you may want to avoid adding a transaction fee to remain compliant the Junk Fees Rule, and include any additional fees (such as payment processing fees or venue fees) into the ticket price itself.

Sales tax does not apply to the Junk Fees Rule.
