When you accept card payments through Stripe, Ticket Tailor automatically creates customer records in your Stripe account. This helps you keep track of buyers and makes future transactions smoother.
You can find your customer data by logging into your Stripe account and selecting 'Customers' from the side menu.
From here, you will see a list of your customers, and you can filter and export a report showing the data you need.
Why are some customers listed as 'Guest'?
For orders placed before 25th February 2026, all customer data was sent to Stripe as metadata. This means that their name and email sits within a different place in Stripe.
How to download a Stripe report containing data for 'Guest' customers
Log in to your Stripe account.
In the side menu, click 'Reporting' > 'Reports'.
Click 'Export' next to the report called 'Balance change from activity'.
Configure your report to include the ticket buyer data that you need. Do this by clicking 'show' next to the 'columns' selection.
Select all of the information you want to see in your report. Data we send to Stripe will live in the section called 'payment metadata'.
Click 'Download'.
Your exported report will contain all of the information you have chosen to make financial reconciliation a breeze!
💡 Things to note
Customer creation is turned on by default for all Stripe payment methods. If you'd prefer not to create Stripe customers for a specific payment method, you can turn this off:
Head to 'Box office settings'.
Select 'Payment systems'.
Under 'Online payments (powered by Stripe), select the three dots next to your Stripe account and click 'Settings'.
Untick 'Create customer records in Stripe'.
If you're using Stripe Tap to Pay, customer creation is automatically disabled for that payment method.
Customer records are only created when a buyer completes a purchase, not when they abandon their basket.
