How can I edit my voucher codes?

How to change an existing voucher code.

Written by Rhio

Once you've created your voucher codes in Ticket Tailor, you can make some changes to them. You can edit:

  • The name of the voucher code.

  • The value of the voucher code.

  • The applicable events the code can be used on.

  • The expiration date of the voucher code.

  • The validity of the voucher code (voiding).

If you wish, you can add additional voucher codes to the batch.

You can also delete a voucher code you no longer want in your dashboard.

💡If you're looking for more information on how to create voucher codes, please see this help article.

How to make changes to your batch of voucher codes

  • From Promote click on Voucher codes in the left-hand menu.

  • Click the batch of voucher codes you wish to update from under the Promo voucher codes tab.

  • In the summary section, click Edit batch.

  • Make the changes you want to apply to your voucher codes.

    • If you selected Allow partial redemption when setting up your voucher, you cannot change this.

  • When you're finished making changes, click Update voucher codes.

💡 Any changes you make will update existing unused voucher codes in this batch. Any codes that have been fully or partially redeemed will not be updated.

How to void a voucher code within a batch

  • To mark a voucher code as void so that it can no longer be redeemed, go to Promote and click on the Voucher codes tab.

  • Click on the name of the batch containing the code you want to void.

  • Scroll down to the section called Voucher codes.

  • Find the code you want to invalidate, and click the three dots under the Actions column, then click Void.

How to delete a batch of voucher codes

  • To delete a batch of voucher codes go to Promote and click on Voucher codes in the left-hand menu.

  • The Promo voucher codes tab should automatically be selected. If not, select this.

  • Find the batch you want to delete, and select the three dots within the Actions column.

  • Click Delete.

  • Once deleted, the batch of voucher codes are voided if they've not been used.

  • For spent vouchers, the used vouchers will show as a line item on the individual order breakdown, even if the batch the code was in got deleted.

💡 Things to note

  • You can't update the Allow partial redemption setting once you've created a batch of voucher codes. If you want to change this, the best solution is to delete and recreate your voucher codes.

  • For voucher codes to work, they must either be marked as usable on any event or be assigned to at least one event series. If your customer tries to use it, they'll see the following error message:
