How to collect attendee names

Edit your checkout form from your box office settings, or for a specific event.

If you need more than just the ticket buyer's name, then you may want to collect the name of each individual attendee coming to your event. We've made this really easy to set up! Once collected, the attendee's name will be shown on the attendee's ticket voucher, on your doorlist, and on the check-in app.

How to collect attendee names

  • Click Checkout form either from your box office Settings, or directly from the event (if you've configured an event-specific checkout form).

  • Under Attendee questions, click the 'eye' icon next to the First name | Last name question.

  • You can optionally change the format to either Full name or First name, Last name, and you can amend the label/s to anything you want.

  • Click Save question.

  • Attendee names will now be collected during the checkout process.

  • When you enable this feature, attendee names become required fields, and your customers will receive clear error messages if they try to proceed without completing them.

This error message shows when trying to proceed to the next stage of the checkout process without completing the required fields.

💡 Things to note

  • It's not possible to disable the autofill for the attendee name on the first ticket in an order. The ticket buyer's name is automatically filled into the first attendee for each ticket type in an order.
