You might want to boost your sales via seasonal marketing by adding a discount code to a specific event or a group of occurrences running over a certain time period.
For example, you might offer 20% off in September as a "back to school" deal, or have a Valentine's Day promo only valid on the 14th of February.
How to assign discount codes to specific dates
Create a discount code as usual, from the Promote section of your box office.
When creating your discount code, you'll see some new options in the Validity section to adjust the date for the code to be used:
Only valid for events starting after a certain date
Only valid for events starting before a certain date
Your promo code usage date (or date range) should fall in the middle of the two dates you enter in these fields. Note that if you set a 'valid for events starting after' date, the discount won't be available for events on that date itself – it'll only work for events starting the day after. Some examples:
For a Valentine's Day promo, you'd put 13th February in the first field, and 15th February in the second field.
For a 20% off in September deal, you'd put 31st August in the first field, and 1st of October in the second field.
