If you’re being repeatedly logged out of your account on your phone, even after selecting “Keep me logged in”, it’s usually related to browser settings, network changes, or how your phone manages data in the background.
Below are the most common things to check:
1. Check you browser allows cookies
If your browser is set to block cookies or clear them automatically, it won’t be able to remember your login.
Some browsers (or in-app browsers like those inside Facebook, Instagram, or email apps) can block or regularly clear cookies. Since cookies are what keep you logged in, this can result in you being asked to log in repeatedly.
Check that:
Cookies are allowed
You’re not using “private” or “incognito” mode
Your browser isn’t set to clear cookies on close
2. Switching Wi-Fi or networks can log you out
If you regularly move between different Wi-Fi networks (for example, home Wi-Fi, mobile data, work Wi-Fi, public Wi-Fi), you may be asked to log in again each time.
For security reasons, changing networks can initiate a new login session.
Example:
Logging in on home Wi-Fi
Switching to mobile data while out
Connecting to café Wi-Fi later
Each switch can trigger a fresh login.
3. Data-saving or battery optimisation settings
Some phones aggressively manage background data to save battery or storage. This can cause your browser to clear session data, and log you out.
Things to check:
Disable “data saver” mode for your browser
Allow your browser to run in the background
Make sure your phone isn’t auto-clearing app data
4. Using multiple devices or tabs at once
Logging into your account on multiple devices or repeatedly logging in and out can sometimes end existing sessions. For example, logging in on your phone, then switching to your laptop then witching back to your phone later might log you out.
