How to add a reschedule fee

Contact customer support to enable this feature.

Written by Rhio

When you're organising big events, you may want the option to add a reschedule fee when ticket buyers request to transfer their tickets to another date/time.

💡 The option to add a reschedule fee is not widely available. Please contact customer support if you'd like this added to your box office.

How to add a reschedule fee

  • After the Ticket Tailor customer support team has enabled reschedule fees on your box office, head to Products.

  • Click Add new product.

  • Name your product 'Reschedule fee' or 'Transfer fee'.

  • Enter the fee you would like to charge for any transfer made in your box office in the Product price box.

  • Under Fulfilment, select Reschedule fee.

  • Select the Create product button.

  • Your reschedule fee be will automatically added to any ticket transfer made in your box office.

💡 Things to note

  • Reschedule fees apply to all of your recurring events in your box office.

  • You can only set one reschedule fee per box office (not per event).

  • Reschedule fees apply to all transfers made in your box office, whether they're done by your customer via self-serve, or made by your team via the Orders page. This means you can't bypass a transfer fee.

  • By default, the fee is charged once per reschedule. If you would rather charge it for each ticket moved, you'll need to contact customer support to request this.

    • If you charge the fee per ticket and you move only part of an order, the fee is worked out on the tickets that are actually moving.

    • If you charge the fee per ticket and there's a free ticket within an otherwise paid order, the fee won't apply to the free ticket.

  • If a gift voucher or voucher code covered only part of the order, the fee still applies.

  • When enabled, reschedule fees don’t apply to:

    • Free orders: rescheduling a free order to another occurrence is always free (this includes when the original order was brought to zero by a discount code, and orders paid for in full by a gift voucher or voucher code).

    • Lower value orders: reschedule fees will still be charged where the new order is cheaper than the original order, and your customer will not be refunded a difference in price.
