How to sell tickets on your Wix website using the Ticket Tailor widget

Embed your Ticket Tailor widget on your Wix site, then add one line of code so it always fits your page.

Written by Siobhan

You can sell tickets straight from your Wix website by embedding the Ticket Tailor widget. This guide shows you how to add the widget, and how to make it resize as ticket buyers move through checkout.

Before you start

How to add the widget to your Wix site

  • In the Wix editor, click Add Elements.

  • Select Embed Code, then Embed HTML.

  • Paste in your Ticket Tailor embed code, then click Apply.

  • Drag the box to where you want your widget to appear on the page.

How to make your widget resize automatically

Wix puts embedded code inside a box with a fixed height. Adding the line of code below lets that box grow and shrink with your widget. Your events and checkout button then always stay in view.

  • From your Wix dashboard, go to Settings, then Custom Code. It should be under the Development & Integrations section.

  • Click Add Custom Code and paste in:

<script src="https://cdn.tickettailor.com/js/widgets/min/widget-frame-listener.js"></script>
  • Give it a name you’ll recognise, such as “Ticket Tailor widget”.

  • Under Add Code to Pages, choose All pages.

  • Under Place Code in, choose Head. This is the top section of your site’s code, which loads before the rest of the page.

  • Click Apply, then publish your site.

The widget box will now adjust its height as ticket buyers move between steps. The page will also scroll back to the widget at each step, so buyers never lose their place.

💡 Things to note

  • On a free Wix plan? You can still sell tickets with the widget. In the editor, drag the embed box taller so the whole widget fits, including the checkout steps.

  • Always check your widget on your live, published site. The Wix editor preview won’t show the resizing.

  • You only need to add the code once. Because it loads on every page, any page with your widget will resize automatically.
