Things can change, and we've made it easy to postpone your event and inform your ticket buyers.

How to postpone an event and continue selling tickets

  • Inform your ticket buyers that your event details have changed by sending them an email broadcast.

  • Edit your event date and time.

  • If you're postponing a recurring event, edit your occurrences.

How to postpone an event and stop selling tickets

  • Inform your ticket buyers that your event details have changed by sending them an email broadcast.

  • Follow the steps to cancel your event.

  • When you have a new date for your event, you can either:

    • Publish your old event if you'd like to honour old ticket purchases.

    • Create a new event with a new date to share with your ticket buyers.

      • If you do this, all attendees will need to purchase a new ticket.

πŸ’‘ Things to note

  • All of the tickets you sold for your previous event date will still be valid for the new date.

  • You might want to let your buyers choose if they want to stick with the new date, get a refund, or transfer their order to another event. You can easily offer these options by setting up self-serve order management and sending a link to self-serve in your email broadcast.
