If you're organising a free event (or using offline payments) and would like to discourage bots from making bookings, you can add a CAPTCHA challenge to your event checkout.
The CAPTCHA adds a verification step that ensures you have a human customer selecting tickets.
To enable CAPTCHA on your event
Navigate to your 'Box office settings’ tab from the top right of your dashboard.
Under ‘Basic settings’, select the checkbox marked ‘Always show a CAPTCHA challenge when payment details aren't required’.
Click the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page.
💡 Things to note
Even if this checkbox isn't selected, the CAPTCHA may sometimes show automatically to customers booking tickets to free events, as an added Ticket Tailor security measure.
