Which email marketing platforms can I connect to?

An integrated email marketing tool saves loads of time by automatically sending buyer and attendee emails into your email list, so you never miss a marketing opportunity from your audience.

You can chose from your favourite marketing email tool, or build your own integration with Zapier or the Ticket Tailor API.

These are the email marketing tools you can connect to your box office:

How to set up your email marketing integration

  • Log in to your email marketing account in one tab, and open Ticket Tailor in another.

  • From your box office, head to 'Settings' then 'Connect apps'.

  • Find your preferred email marketing platform in the list.

For example, you could 'Add ticket buyers to your lists on Mailchimp'.
  • Click the 'Configure' or 'Get started' button to link your Ticket Tailor account to your email marketing platform.

  • Follow any on-screen prompts to securely link your accounts and map any data, to make sure attendee details such as names and email addresses are correctly matched with your email service’s contact fields.

  • You're done!

    • Once your integration is set up, your attendee list will automatically update within your email marketing service. This real-time syncing means you’re always ready to launch a new campaign without needing to import data manually.

    • If you want you can test the connection by placing a test order.

    • If you want to segment your attendee data to create more targeted campaigns, you can do this on your email marketing platform.

How to send effective email marketing to promote your events and sell more tickets

Once you've integrated your email marketing platform, it's time to design and send marketing emails tailored to your events.

Here are some top tips to create effective campaigns:

  • Design your email - make sure you use a consistent brand in your box office and emails, so your fans can recognise the emails are coming from you, and about your events.

  • Personalise your messages - Use the synced attendee data to include personal greetings, like their name, and relevant event details, like photos of events they attended.

  • Schedule your campaigns - Automate your messaging to save you time, and get emails to your customers when it's relevant to increase demand.

  • Segment your audience - Tailor your messages to different attendee groups for higher engagement

  • Respect privacy - Ensure you follow data protection guidelines and include an easy way for recipients to unsubscribe. Make sure to capture marketing consent on your checkout form, and set up a good privacy policy so you're sending marketing emails to the fans who want it!
